Today was the day we had to leave Kangaroo Island. After packing it was a one hour drive to Penneshaw so to entertain myself I was listening to “Just Tricking!!” on CD. It was then the same 45mins by ferry back to Port Jervis as it was when we were going to KI.
The whole way to Adelaide-which wasn’t to far-I listened to “Just Stupid!!” on CD, it was good because there weren’t any stops on this trip (apart from the ferry), so I could just lay back and listen without any distractions. When we got to Adelaide we noticed how busy it was-we hadn’t seen so many people and cars for a while (we had been in KI for 6 days with no traffic). The main freeway into town was only taking traffic out of town as it was peak hour, so we had to take a detour to get to our apartment.
At our place we stayed at, we had a pool and spa, tennis court, gym and wireless internet access-although we have to pay for it. Dad was off to his conference that night; the conference goes for all 4 days we are here in Adelaide, so we won’t get to see much of him. The rest of us went and go some burgers and chicken‘n’chips for tea.
9/10/07, 10/10/07 & 11/10/07- Nice Sunny Days in Adelaide.
Adelaide is the place where we have been resting; mostly we’ve been to the beach or in the pool. To get to the beach we didn’t drive but we caught a tram, which goes from Victoria Square to Glenelg (where the beach is). On the beach we kicked the soccer ball around, played volleyball and lay in the sun. And the weather was great, nice and warm. We kept on hearing all these planes that were landing at the airport which wasn’t far from us. At the end of the first day I think we saw/heard about 20!
Getting the tram back to Victoria Square, instead of heading back to our place we went to the ‘Central Market’ and bought some stuff. It was mainly Mum buying fruit and veg but I bought something once. (There was one lolly shop.)
Back at the apartments Sean and I played tennis when we weren’t in the pool, spa or the gym.
